HELLO COLLECTORS,
WELL, THIRTY (30) BOXES OF POSTCARDS AND COVERS JUST SHOWED UP ON MY DOORSTEP!
NOW I HAVE A FRESH HOLDING OF POSTCARDS & COVERS!
WHAT TO DO NEXT??
This stuff has spent the last 30 years in a Saskatchewan garage!
The miceđ had a real feast snacking on those early real photo postcards and the Postal History!đ
Those covers now look like âcrash coversâ. The only thing missing is the TCA aircraft fire burns on the envelopes.
Now, apparently the garage along with the World War II house was built in the late 1930âs (two stories, with a big steep roof and a big yard). The single car garage backs onto a dark back alley. âNo carâ though, just a storage place for postcards & postal history!
So what about the crash covers? Well, over the years they had a few âbreak-insâ with disappointed burglars. In frustration the thieves created a âcrashâ all by themselves. I guess they were expecting all sorts of pricey computers đ„ , speakers đ , iPads, iPhones đ± or perhaps a âpot of goldâ.
No rainbows đ in that alley. Mice, skunks, stray cats and the garbage pickers was the most you could find.
BY THE WAY: ALL THE KINGS HORSES AND ALL THE KINGS MEN COULDN'T PUT MY COMPUTER BACK TOGETHER AGAIN.
If you recall, from my last newsletter, the 12 lb. âblue sledge hammerâ was my âfrustration breakerâ and it did exactly that â break my computer. In one of my regretful moments I tried to super glue my PC back together, but as fate would have it, just like HUMPTY there was no putting that plastic mess together again.
So, now more frustration â computer shopping!
NEW STUFF THIS WEEK, AND MUCH MORE STUFF COMING!
I have not had a chance to go through this new collection except at a glance.
Thank you friends and collectors,
John Bucci
